Dr. Leroy Butler chose foot and ankle surgery as his subspecialty because the joint is unforgiving — it bears the weight of everything we do. The same precision is brought to every knee, every injection, every consult.

Leroy Butler, DO

Foot & Ankle Fellowship · FAAOS

Dr. Butler is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon whose practice focuses on disorders of the foot, ankle, and knee. After completing his orthopedic surgery residency, he pursued additional fellowship training in foot and ankle reconstruction — one of the most technically demanding subspecialties in orthopedics.

His clinical interests span the full continuum of care: from regenerative options like platelet-rich plasma and image-guided injections, through reconstructive procedures such as bunion correction and Achilles repair, to advanced solutions including total ankle replacement and complex fracture care. On the knee side, he treats ACL, meniscus, and cartilage injuries in athletes and active adults across the Metroplex.

"I treat the joint, the limb, and the person who has to live with the outcome."

Patients describe his approach as deliberate, thorough, and direct. Conservative options are explored when appropriate; when surgery is the right answer, the plan is built around what the patient needs to get back to — work, sport, family, life.

Four pathways.
One philosophy.

We meet patients wherever their condition sits on the spectrum — from a first injection for arthritis pain, to reconstructive surgery, to advanced joint replacement. The least invasive path that gets you back to what matters is always the right one.

01

Regenerative & Non-Surgical Care

Treatment doesn't always start in the operating room.

Platelet-rich plasma, image-guided corticosteroid and viscosupplementation injections, bracing, and a structured non-surgical plan — calibrated to your imaging and your goals.

  • Conditions treated
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Achilles tendinopathy
  • Knee osteoarthritis
  • Ankle joint pain
  • Foot & ankle arthritis
02

Foot & Ankle Reconstructive Surgery

Restoring the architecture of movement.

Reconstructive procedures designed to re-align, reinforce, and rebuild — with techniques refined through fellowship training and thousands of cases. Plans are tailored to the deformity, the tissue, and the patient.

  • Conditions treated
  • Bunions (hallux valgus)
  • Flatfoot reconstruction
  • Achilles tendon repair
  • Hammertoe correction
  • Ligament repair
  • Osteochondral injury/defect repair/restoration
03

Advanced Ankle & Trauma Care

For the most demanding ankle problems.

Total ankle replacement and advanced fracture care for patients who deserve a real option — not a forced fusion. Modern arthroplasty preserves motion and protects adjacent joints.

  • Conditions treated
  • Total ankle and/or total talus arthroplasty
  • End-stage ankle arthritis
  • Complex foot & ankle fractures
  • Post-traumatic deformity
  • Limb length deformity
  • Revision surgery
04

Knee Sports Medicine

Get back to your sport — on its terms, not the injury's.

Arthroscopic and reconstructive knee surgery for athletes and active adults of every level. Surgical precision is paired with a return-to-activity plan built around your sport and your timeline.

  • Conditions treated
  • ACL reconstruction
  • Meniscus repair
  • Cartilage restoration
  • Patellar instability
  • Ligament & tendon injury

What to expect.

Every patient starts with the same first principle — a real conversation about what's happening, what the imaging shows, and what we can do about it. Then the plan is built from there.

01 — Consult

A real conversation

Your story, your imaging, your goals. The first visit is about understanding the full picture — not rushing to a recommendation.

02 — Diagnostics

Diagnostic clarity

In-office assessment paired with the right imaging — never more, never less. We confirm what we're treating before we treat it.

03 — Plan

Your treatment plan

We start with what's least invasive and most effective. Surgery is recommended only when it's the right answer — and explained in plain language when it is.

04 — Recovery

Recovery, supported

A return-to-activity plan built around your life. Physical therapy, milestone check-ins, and direct access to the team through every phase of healing.

Two North Texas locations.
